AFL Trade Simulator
Build a hypothetical AFL trade using players, current picks and future picks. The True Footy engine assesses whether the deal is fair and estimates whether the clubs would realistically agree to it.
How the ratings work
Fairness weighs the value each club receives on the True Footy trade-value scale, adjusted for how well every asset fits the receiving club: list needs, premiership window versus rebuild, contract status and draft-pick value. Likelihood layers on real-world willingness: contracted stars rarely move, rebuilding clubs prefer picks, contenders prefer ready-made players, fierce rivals almost never deal directly, clubs facing academy or father-son bids bank draft points, and players linked in the True Footy trade rumour mill move the needle by how strongly the tracker rates each link. Future picks are projected as though each club finishes about the same next season, adjusted for Tasmania’s entry concessions: the Devils hold picks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 of the 2027 draft plus the first pick of every later round (and extra picks in 2028), which pushes every other club’s future selections back. The likelihood figure is an estimate, not gospel.

The Offseason Simulator takes this engine and hands you a club. Negotiate real trades with 17 AI list managers, table offer sheets for restricted free agents, out-pitch rivals for unrestricted ones, then take the pick hand you built into the 2026 National Draft.
